National awards include: 1998, California Artist of the Year for the American Mothers Competition, with my painting shown at the National Show in Atlanta, Georgia.  This show provided recognition as an Artist by the U.S Congress,  both houses of the State of California Legislature, the City and County of Los Angeles.

Also in 1998, I was recognized as one of 50 Distinguished Alumni for Pierce Community College during their 50 year celebration (only two artists were recognized).

Additionally, work was shown at the Pikes Peak Center in Colorado Springs for 10 years, the Colorado Springs Airport, and other locations around town.
