.. to delight the eye and challenge the mind.

“Playing" with chromatic variations can be one of life's greatest pleasures.”  Design and color have been the greatest influences on my desire to paint.  Our rapidly changing world has has focused many of my recent paintings on historic and cultural places and events.

Since 1991 I have had numerous Solo Shows and participated group shows in California, Colorado, and Georgia.  My works are in collections throughout the United States and Canada.

I grew up in California, lived and traveled the world, and have settled in Thousand Oaks, California.

Graduated with a degree in Art Design from Los Angeles Pierce Community College, Woodland Hills, California and was honored to receive an award as one of 50 Distinguished Alumni during the College’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.

Additional awards include 1998 California Artist of the Year from the American Mothers, Inc. The painting was shown at the National Show in Atlanta, Georgia during their national convention. That award came with individual recognition from the City and County of Los Angeles, State of California Legislature and recognized in the congressional record of U. S. House of Representatives.

In 2004 I was included in the San Diego Art Institute gallery at Balboa Park in their Museum of Living Artist Juried Exhibit.

For 10 years I participated the Chromatic Edge Shows at the Pikes Peak Center, Colorado Springs.

Annually I have participated in plein air events with Henry Fukuhara at the former Japanese internment camp, Manzanar National Park, Lone Pine, California and the associated exhibitions since 2004.

Memberships include Signature Member, Honorary Lifetime Member and Past President of the Gold Coast Watercolor Society, founding and continuing member of the Chromatic Edge in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Thousand Oaks Art Association, T.O. Plein Air Painters, the Westlake Art Guild, and the Ventura Plein Air Painters and the Buenaventura Art Association cooperative galleries.

Since 1975 I have been a volunteer fundraiser for the UCLA/Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center Fund and various other charities.
